tuned in for the funeral service for Stennett H. Brooks
|
The funeral service for Stennett H. Brooks was held on Sunday, April 13, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at the City Tabernacle Seventh-day Adventist Church in New York. Individuals from all levels of the Seventh-day Adventist Church attended the service in a show of support to the family and in recognition of his more than 40 years of service as an employee of the organization.
There was standing room only in the sancturay and closed circuit television was provided to accommodate the overflow crowd.
The service was broadcast live on the Internet. This was made possible thanks to Praizevision.com and the Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church Media Ministries team. According to Gary Saunders, CEO of Praizevision.com, viewing of the service peaked at 1,134 individual connections. This does not include the many churches that downlinked the service, among them Hanson Place, Linden, and Sharon, all in New York.
Brooks will be sadly missed by the Seventh-day Adventist Church family. We continue to pray for his wife, Erma, two daughters, son-in-laws, and grandchildren.
